Wow.  That's all we've got to say coming off our first full performance with the new guys at Cripple Creek.  First, some background:  As you know, the band took about a six month hiatus.  Two new members were added, we had some dates scheduled at Cripple Creek, and then threw in the April 22nd performance as a last minute addition.  We had six days notice for that show, and didn't know who--if anybody--would come out.  Wow.  The party people showed up, we gave four hours of southern fried rockin' country, and there's less beer in the world for it.  We've got a lot more scheduled, and soon, so get ready.  We'll be back at Cripple Creek May 6th for another full show, so keep that Saturday night free.  There's more on the way at Cripple Creek, and other venues soon, so keep checking the schedule.  Finally, we want to give a big thanks to everyone that didn't forget about us.  And for those of you that didn't get the word--Locked and Loaded is back!

Where do I start? It has been 8 months since our last update and most of that time has been spent...well....to be honest...doing a lot of nothing. Until recently that is....let me catch you up on the Locked & Loaded low down. We were well on our way to world domination...and by using the world's beer supply as a "musical lubricant", this lofty goal seemed to actually be attainable. That's when the saddle fell off the horse and things came to a sudden halt! Our bass player (Danny Owensby) and our guitar player (Steele Vaught) decided that world domination just wasn't their "rodeo" any longer and rode off into the sunset to pursue other musical interests. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Locked & Loaded got up off the ground, dusted ourselves off.....slowly.....and decided to get back on the horse with some new friends (Danny Billings - Bass Guitar and Mark Brown - Electric Guitar) and try to get back in this rodeo again. That said, what better place to jump back into the saddle than the Circle K arena in Rockwell, NC on April 8th, 2006. This will hopefully be our first of many shows with the new and improved lineup, so be prepared for 2006....Locked & Loaded is back!!

Well,
Half the year has already passed us by as we continue on our journey to either dominate the world of country music....or drink all the beer on the planet. I'm not sure exactly what our current goal is at the moment, but both sound pretty good and worth devoting more time to. We are in the process of expanding our song list to include more classic rock and some of the newer country songs on the radio in a never ending effort to please you...our fans. We have really enjoyed the year so far, so keep on coming out to the shows and show us you know how to party with the world's greatest party band....besides, we could use a little help with our goal to drink all the beer on the planet.
